Cohort starts in January 2020.

Concordia College – New York Small School. GLOBAL Impact.

About the Program:  The M.S. in International Education is a 33-credit program that is offered fully online. It fosters an appreciation of and sensitivity towards diversity, commitment to issues of equity and social justice, and an interdisciplinary approach of study, preparing graduates to utilize their well-rounded worldviews to contribute in positive ways to multicultural, complex local and global education systems. The coursework is comprised of core courses, which collectively guide students in understanding, analyzing, and evaluating the histories and roles of education within and across societies, including national and international expectations, practices, and philosophies, while simultaneously applying an introspective approach to own cultural frameworks, furthering practical competencies for engaging in communication across cultures and contributing to social justice. In addition to core courses, electives allow for specialization in the field of Teacher Leadership.

How do I know if the program is for me? The program offers a multidisciplinary perspective on various aspects of global education, preparing its students for a range of careers, including:

-Teachers and school leaders working with multicultural, diverse populations

-Teachers and school leaders working overseas

-Representatives of NGOs and IGOs that focus on child and family well-being/children’s rights
